USA, land of limitations. Kristoff

While reading the blog 'USA, land of limitations' by Nicholas Kristoff. In the article this Arthur then argues in the article is the best way to predict where you will end is where you begin. I do not fully believe in this, however Kristoff does make a good argument for it. In the article Kristoff brings up his friend Rick, this on its own is bringing in the reader by putting a real life friend in the story. Rick died at the age of 65, but throughout Ricks life he had gone through an uphill battle with finances, and jobs. However, Rick was known to be smart and talented, a little goofy but he was a hard worker. Ricks early life had no parents, a resided grandparent, and he had siblings. So they all worked together to provide for the rest of their siblings by hunting fish. Kristoffs point of adding the story about Rick is because it helps the reader connect to the article more. But it shows how when Rick grew up he was on his own, and he was still on his own at the end of his life.
